Introducing Amplitude For Slack

Insights and communication combined. Link your Slack and Amplitude teams to share & discuss insights across the company!

Note: Hold ‘cmd’ or 'ctrl' when moving page elements to prevent changes to your desktop page.

Before moving elements on your mobile view:

1. Navigate to the Properties Panel (the right-hand menu)
2. Under the Layout Assistant section, click "Entire Page"

This will automatically adjust elements on your page to fit the mobile view, and you'll only have a few stragglers to adjust manually.

Congrats, you've made all your changes! You can now publish your training page (don't worry, it will only be visible to you). Click 'Save' > head back to the Page Overview screen, and click 'Publish Page.'

Connect Amplitude to Slack to Instantly Share Insights

Share your Amplitude Dashboards and Reports directly within any Slack channel. All you have to do is copy and paste the Amplitude URL into the channel of your choice.

Paste links to Charts, Dashboards, and Cohorts that automatically transform into an image preview that includes details about your analysis.

Add any chart that your teammate shares to your own dashboard from within Slack. Message buttons also allow you to pin a dashboard to your Amplitude sidebar.

Getting Started

Connecting your Amplitude and Slack accounts

To connect your Amplitude account to Slack, login to your Amplitude dashboard, open the Settings dropdown, and click “Connect to Slack.”

Adding the Amplitude Bot to Slack

Now you’ll need to invite the Amplitude Bot to all channels you’d like to share Amplitude links in.

To do so, just type /invite @amplitude in a public channel, direct message, or private channel. If you invite @amplitude to a private channel, Slack will ask you first to re-confirm the invitation:

Click "Yes, show channel history" and the Amplitude Bot will unfurl all future Amplitude links.
